At CommuBridge, we believe in the power of communication.

Communication is the sharing of who we are, what we know and how we feel.

CommuBridge offers Japanese-English language services for expats, students and working professionals who face obstacles traversing the language divide in their daily lives, be it in English speaking countries or in Japan.

Communicating and expressing ourselves could be difficult even in our native language so we understand how challenging it would be in a non-native language.

As our hope to promote global thinking and facilitate cultural understanding we are running the  Community Bridging Project which is free to join for all members.

My child is having issues at school and I want to send an email to the teacher but I don’t know how to phrase it well… - Japanese expat mom

About the Founder

Kiwa Sasaki is an educator, translator and the founder of CommuBridge. She has spent her whole life between cultures and languages and recognizes the challenges and opportunities they bring. Born to Japanese parents in Argentina, she was educated fully in Japanese until Junior High School and then in English at an American International High School in Argentina.  She then moved the U.S. where she graduated with a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Kiwa ran a successful English language school in Yokohama, Japan for over 5 years before moving to New York, where she worked for over 10 years with a relocation company (Relo Redac, Inc.) that helped Japanese expats settle into new cultures and new surroundings. In Addition, for the past 15 years, she has also been working with Seisa Group as their translator. Her background as a English language educator, an entrepreneur,  a relocation specialist, and a translator led her to establish CommuBridge – a company that aims to help people enhance communication in Japanese and English and to help them connect to new opportunities.
